Help the Taylor's reunite with family during these health crises.
Canterbury
In a span of two days, we got news that seriously rocked our boat. My dad (age 63) was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer called Sarcoma and my sister-in-law, Kelsey (age 25), was diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases; Lupus, and a very rare disease called Scleroderma.
My dad is currently dealing with the effects of the large mass in his abdomen that is putting pressure on his internal organs and nerves, causing a lot of discomfort and pain. He has started radiation treatments in the hopes of shrinking the tumor to a size where it can be safely removed surgically. Meanwhile, Josh's sister Kelsey has had a flare up of the disease, causing her to have swelling and inflammation all over her body. She can barely walk and has been in an incredible amount of pain over the last month. Kelsey has two small children, and her husband is taking on a superhero job of working full time while also trying to take care of her and the kids.
It's nice and cliche to say that they are close to our hearts, but in times like these, living 13,000 kilometers away in New Zealand is just too far. We want to visit home to support and spend time with our family as they battle these health hurdles. Unfortunately, it isn't cheap to cross the Pacific, so we've set up this page in the hopes of helping offset the financial challenge of making this happen. We have felt so loved and supported by our amazing friends and family around the world. We love you!
Money raised will go towards plane tickets and NZ living expenses while we are in Michigan.
