A mate and I are off from the very southern tip of NZ to the furthest northern reach.
Bluff to Cape Reinga! Te Araroa (the Long Walk)
Equipped and ready to go, we head out late Feb and seek support for a cause dear to my heart.
Be generous.
I wanted to ask for a dollar step. Over a 3000km that will soon add up.
All in the name of Heart Kids NZ and Ronald Macdonald House, both of whom offered amazing support during my daughter's dodgy ticker days.

Day One. 19 February 2021
Wind!
Apparently wind comes in two kinds. That provided by nature and the created by barrelling truck and trailer units.
Approx 34km. 8:40am-5pm.
Bluff to Invercargill.
That means about 1% ticked off.
A couple of toes aren't impressed, both feet are not sure if they will ever feel comfortable again and every inch of me is aware I'm no longer the youngest man out there walking.
Feeling positive so far.
