Te Toi Whakaahua is a Waikato based contemporary art gallery bringing Toi Maori and up and coming art and artists to the wider world.
Cambridge, Waikato
Te Toi Whakaahua is a boutique contemporary art gallery that aims to represent Toi Maori and local Waikato artists, especially up and coming artists. The gallery Kaupapa is to promote at least 75% Toi Maori and 75% local original art works. We charge a much lower commission on sales to help support the artists and work with them to promote their work to a wider audience.
This passion project has been set up as a business in 'bootstrap' style, fully funded so far by Dean McLeod, the driver of this project.
We aim to move the Gallery to a Not for Profit Charity and are aiming to raise funds to help keep the gallery operating and enable regular exhibitions to help promote the artists.
Funds raised will be to cover all operating costs, rent, wages, marketing, display materials, and exhibition set up and running costs.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and we thank you for your donation.
All funds raised will help cover the operating costs of the gallery. From rent and wages, through to exhibition set up and running. If the total amount is not raised, whatever funds are raised will be used to keep the gallery going for as long as we can.
