A shock cancer diagnosis for the Bailey family sees their world come crashing down.
Canterbury
*UPDATE from Chris:
The hundreds of amazing texts, emails and wishes of support today culminated in the best possible biopsy diagnosis. I appear to have a low-grade neuroendocrine cancer with a prognosis of years rather than months – a diagnosis with just 5% likelihood. They’re still reviewing my case and treatment but it’s likely to involve monthly injections (without side effects) and radiation therapy in Melbourne (self-funded). The Give a Little funds already received will help us pay for some of that treatment and we could not be more grateful for or humbled by the support we have received. Our family and friends have gone through the darkest moments imaginable but we can’t thank everyone enough for the support, love, thoughts, prayers and massive generosity we’ve received in the past three weeks. More updates over the next couple of weeks but right now Lisso says I’m the luckiest unlucky person alive!
***********
Chris has been diagnosed with terminal Pancreatic Cancer; in the words of Melissa "Our world has been devastated". This has been an unexpected diagnosis which has thrown the Bailey family and our tight-knit community into utter turmoil.
This super-cool, calm and loving husband and father, is taking this news and making the most of each day. He has the most amazing strength of character and positive outlook and this diagnosis isn't going to slow him down.
We want for Chris, Melissa, Sophie and Isabella to have access to anything and everything they need during this incomprehensible time.
Any funds will go directly where needed right now, giving a hand where it is needed most.
We are a group of friends of the beautiful Bailey Family - Chris, Melissa, Isabella and Sophie. Chris has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. Their world has been devastated. They are trying to make the most of the time they have left with Chris as a family of four. We want to help to give the family make some happy memories in the time they have left and to help Melissa, Isabella and Sophie through some of those tough times after Chris passes away.
All funds raised will go directly toward helping the Bailey family get what they need right now, giving a helping hand where it is needed most.
