Hello, we are Niamh Swannack and Lucie Browne-Sainty. We are budding filmmakers in our third and final year of university, and we need your help!
Your kind donation will go toward making our short film possible.
Here is a short synopsis about our short film:
Like most 5-year-old girls Charlie adores her mother, Valerie. Whilst Valerie may seem stressed and fed up with her morning beauty routine, Charlie takes great fascination to her mother’s collection of high heeled shoes. Charlie becomes attracted to the sparkles and decorations on all the different styles as well as the rhythmic sounds they make as her mother walks.
To her delight, Charlie finds a pair of pink plastic Barbie high heels which she excitedly wears to kindergarten only to realise she can't play properly in them and they make her feet hurt. Disappointed, Charlie sits down with an old pair of sneakers and her craft box. After lots of gluing she finishes her pom-pom, bell and googly eye covered shoes, proudly placing them by the door, ready for tomorrow.
Valerie arrives home taking her shoes off and dumping them down with a sigh before noticing Charlies creation. She smiles quietly to herself in relief.
