Help two No-Waste Nomads tour the South Island to share their presentation about how and why individuals can reduce their household rubbish!
Nationwide
Hannah Blumhardt and Liam Prince are the No-Waste Nomads behind The Rubbish Trip - a roaming zero waste roadshow delivering FREE talks to schools, businesses and communities about the hows and whys of reducing household rubbish. Our talks are based on our own experience of living, since the beginning of 2015, with no rubbish bin.
After completing 6 months touring the North Island, we are now touring the South Island, delivering our free talks and creating regional zero waste shopping guides to help individuals find low-waste options in their communities (alongside other resources, all of which we share on our website). So far we have had a really positive reception around the country. We've already delivered over 100 presentations, in over 9 regions, to about 6000 people!
We've been running the South Island leg of The Rubbish Trip off the funds raised from a previous crowdfund (a budget of $20 a day for 6 months). Unfortunately, we only managed to raise half of the requisite funds, which will only keep us going until mid-April. So, we've decided to launch this cause page to hopefully tide us over until July.
If you are passionate about waste reduction and believe in spreading awareness and education about how and why New Zealanders can reduce their waste footprint, please consider chipping in to help us continue this mahi and to help keep our workshops and presentations free for everyone.
We are committed to offering our workshops and presentations for FREE, to keep access as open as possible.
The funds we raise will go towards the kai offered at our talks, materials needed to run workshops, our transport, and our personal living costs.
