Lets kick cancer in the butt!
Wellington
Thomas Chapman is an adored son, partner, brother, cousin, uncle and friend to many.
On the 17th of June 2019, at only 22 years old, Thomas was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma – Epstein Barr Virus related. Thomas has both stages one and stage four. He started losing vision in his left eye which forced him to stop driving and working altogether. He was then admitted into the Hutt Hospital for treatment as he started to lose his hearing in both ears with ongoing testing, he was then transferred to Wellington Hospital for surgery to remove his lymph nodes, bone marrow, blood count and his fourth lumbar puncture.
He started chemotherapy on the 21 June 2019, and at this stage, he is looking at 6 months of treatment his life is on hold until treatment is over. He works as a Labourer as his cancer is affecting his hearing and eye sight he can not return to work until this is all cleared.
This has been a very emotional experience for everyone around us, especially Thomas.
Thomas thanks everyone near and far for their endless support, love, kind words and prayers through his journey.
We are all so grateful for the support that everyone has given and shown Thomas through this hard time. We have created this page to help Thomas and his partner through this period as he is unable to work. He loves spending time with family & friends and is such a happy character so to see him at such a low point is heart breaking. True to form, Thomas is worrying about everyone else around him, so to enable his partner to stay by his side at this time any financial support that you could give these two beautiful souls would help relieve some of the stress as they deal with this ugly illness together.
Family Strong!
