The day-to-day activities of DPI ensure that the Timber Trail is maintained to a high standard as a Grade 2 Great Ride in New Zealand, we rely in part on the involvement of local communities to help us achieve our goals of providing a great Timber Trail experience for all users.

There is clear economic benefit to the local region since the Timber Trail first opened in 2013 with more than 7,000 visitors annually.

Use of funds

Funds collected will be used to provide on-going maintenance of the trail and keep it in pristine condition for all to enjoy.
