Tip-tapping for Neo-nates

$2,136 donated

Learning to tap dance and a public performance to raise money for the Neo Natal Trust, which saved our eldest daughters live 7 years ago.

Wellington

7 years ago my oldest daughter, Darcy, was born 8 weeks premature. It's thanks to the Neo Natal unit in Wellington that she (and her mum) are happy and thriving today.

My daughter does tap dancing. I though it would be easy and that "I could do that" so I made a commitment to learn. I also thought I could raise money along the way.

ON the 25th and 26th of November I will be doing a public performance with the senior tap group and Move it DanceWorks, my daughters dance school. It will be part of the kids end-of-year show.

You are helping a good cause by sponsoring me to dance. For anyone who nows me, I am the least likely person to learn how to tap dance . If nothing else, I will lose all credibility with everyone I know.

I will put video evidence of the dance online so you can see it, or send it to you personally.

I'll also accept Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ether if you are that way inclined. Just leave a message and I'll get back to you.

Please note there is a Givealittle fee of 5% deducted from your donation, so please bear this in mind. You can add a "top up" donation that will offset this fee.

Use of funds

The Neo Natal Trust support families of premature or sick full-term babies as they make their stressful journey through neonatal care and the transition home.

The Neonatal Trust was originally established in Wellington in 1986 by two Wellington families with extremely premature babies, Since 2009, the Trust has evolved to become a nationwide network of support based around NZ's neonatal units. Collectively we engage with and support over 3,000 neonatal families each year.

Donation  20 March 2018

Last month Darcy and I visited the neo-natal intensive care unit to pass on the $2,136.00 from the Tap performance and another $1,000.00 raised from Workchops, that I ran last year.

Thanks so much to everyone who donated money. You really will make a difference to the lives of some young children who come in to this world a bit early, and their families.

Have a wonderful 2018 and may karma look favourably on you all!

Chris Jackson
