Tironui Music Trust is a registered Charitable Trust which aims to provide formal music education and opportunities to perform for children at a number of low decile Papatoetoe schools. Beginning in 2006 the trust has grown to support over 400 children a year at 7 schools in the region. Funding is solely through private donors, with no Government grants.

When you make a donation of NZ$45 you will receive the excellent PERC+ Redux sample percussion library. Just email us your receipt and we will email a download link.

We here at MODWHEEL are involved because we want to see more children have opportunities to take part in musical activities. Government funding for schools is limited and music has been one of the casualties with fewer schools able to offer any music education at all. There are some outside school providers but these can be expensive and we would love kids from all walks of life to be able to take part and grow up to be musical innovators for their culture and for NZ as a whole.

Use of funds

With your donation children get free tuition, books, and transport to and from performances and related activities. They may take part for up to 5 years, finishing as they leave intermediate school at age 12 or 13.

It's One Year Later 5 March 2018

In February 2017 we re-released Perc+ Redux and we planned to offer it as donationware for a period of one year. That year has come and gone and people are still requesting this great percussion sample library and we are still able to raise funds for this great cause. Huge thanks goes to everyone who has donated. Together we have raised over $6600 for the fabulous Tironui Music Trust enabling hundreds of kids in Auckland to learn an orchestral instrument. We would like to continue this offer with donations going to the Trust so that more kids, who may not otherwise get the chance, can have a brilliant musical experience.
