Please help us help Tom and his Family while they deal with this stressful time and the coming months of recovery ahead.
Hawke's Bay
We are asking for your help to help us support Tom on his road to recovering from Open Heart Surgery.
Tom is an awesome bloke and our resident office joker, he always has the ability to put a smile on your face even on the hardest of days. At Laser we are all an extended Family and so when we see our Family go through tough times we want to do what we can to help eachother.
Over the last six weeks Tom had not been feeling himself, he finally had an appointment with the Cardiac Specialist last Thursday where they found a growth on his heart. Tom underwent more tests on Friday and they confirmed that Tom has a cardiac tumour called Myxoma which is located in the upper left chamber and is the biggest the Doctors have seen
So today Tom undergoes open heart bypass surgery and has a three month recovery ahead. Tom's beautiful wife Kat and their three year old Son Max are with him in Wellington and they are also expecting another little bundle of joy due 18th September this year.
So our Laser work Family have had a chat about what we can do to help ease the burden of having little to no income over the next three months. This is where you all come in, can you help us to take away the stress for this young family so they can concentrate fully on Tom's recovery and having a stress free pregnancy.
I am a work colleague of Tom Mclean, he will be requiring three months off work to recover from open heart surgery and has a young family with another child on the way. Our entire Laser work family wanted to do something to help ease the financial burden for him and his wife Kat and allow him to recover without the stress of covering day to day bills.
This money will be used to pay the mortgage, day to day bills and other living expenses while Tom recovers from surgery and is unable to bring in an income.
