We need a little help raising funds to continue feedingWellington Neonatal Intensive Care Unit families.

We are Steven and Valerie Askew and for last 5 years we've been making meals through our restaurant- Topor Bistro to donate our meals to the Wellington Neonatal Intensive Care Unit ( NICU). We cook usually twice a month but more if they need. We provide well balanced healthy meals for the unit as well as desserts for their parents lunch meetings

We heard that mothers who were discharged but have to stay with baby had to pay for their own food as they were no longer patients. We decided to provide the meals for them and their extended family members who need it. We're trying to take a little stress out of their days and hopefully save them some money by not having to pay for meals on top of the parking fees etc.

We've been closed due to Covid-19 and that has exhausted any extra funds that we had. With our levels getting back to normal the NICU will be needs food again now but for the first time ever we do not have the means to make it. We're really hoping people might find this an acceptable cause to donate a few dollars here and there to help us buy the food and containers to give to them. We think realistically we'll need help throughout the rest of the year while the restaurant recovers.
