Kia ora I have opened up whakaoranga whanau recovery hub here in kaikohe to help offer some help to those struggling with alcohol and drug addiction which is so needed here I am not funded and we all work voluntary to help the community one of my other goals is to help with housing as it seems to be a huge ongoing issue here.we are excited to announce we have a property in kaikohe township that we will be setting up as a transitional home catering for pre and post aod care we will also offer emergency housing assistance this transitional home will provide wrap around supports for the residents as we are undertaking this innovative with no government funding we would be greatful for any community support that people can offer. We aim to have the home up and running by 8th of August. My recovery has been successful because of community groups such as he waka eke noa assisted living places such as calgary house in Auckland and rehabilitation centers such as higher ground, salvation army bridge programme to pay it forward we are establishing a assisted living/transitional home for whanau pre and post aod treatment.
