Tryathlon Ellie

Ellie is 6 years old and is one of 4 siblings! She also happens to have Down syndrome! Since the day she was born Ellie has had physical struggles due to having hypotonia. This has meant learning to roll, sit, crawl and even walk at the age of 2 years has been hard for her. She has undergone years of intense physio therapy to get to where she is now!

When Ellie started school at 5 years, she had only just learning to run and this wasn't easy for her! Over the last year and a half alongside her amazing Teacher Aide Katie, Ellie has accomplished not only learning to run, but jump, swim, balance and join in with everything her peers can do. Except riding a bike!

In our last school tryathlon Ellie not only run her class event, she also ran every other classes race and just kept running ( like forrest gump!) But she doesn't have a stable bike to ride.

Katie can see Ellie is capable of completing in next years weetbix tryathlon and would like to raise funds to get a specialized trike to achieve this goal.

To do this Katie is going to run 150km in 14 days!
