We have a serious problem in the Bay of Plenty with unowned colony cats in their thousands. Help us fund the solution.

Bay of Plenty

We have a problem with unowned cats that maybe are colonising in the Bay of Plenty. This project is to collaboratively address this issue in our community and we need the public's support.

Our aim is to educate, legislate and preserve our conservation.

The money raised here on give a little will be spent on the cats.

Rotorua SPCA's involvement (page creator)

This is a collaborative project with all of the agencies that are involved in Animal Education, Legislation and Conservation within the Bay of Plenty Region.

We all have a vested interest to protect our native wildlife, the health of our greater community, and the health and welfare of all un-owned cats.

Working closely together we have developed a strategy to manage the cats in each area with an aim to reduce colonisation.

Our aim is to ensure that education teaches our community about responsible cat ownership. That Legislation supports this and that our community are aware of maintaining our conservation.

About us

It is a collaboration between the BOP Regional Council, Rotorua, Kawerau, Whakatane and Opitiki SPCA's, ARRC Wildlife Trust, DOC, VETPlus and all Local Councils.
