Wellington Pride Youth Ball

Its time again to hold the annual Wellington Pride Youth Ball!

This is run by a group from Wellington to offer a fun, inclusive and supportive event for 13 to 18 year olds.

The Ball will be part of the Wellington Pride Festival on March 23rd 2019, hosted by young people and supported by older folk from the rainbow community.

For students who don't conform to sexuality or gender norms the usual school balls are often unwelcoming - partners banned, dress codes enforced, unsafe environments. This event aims to offer a safe, inclusive space where young people can feel free to express themselves and their identities comfortably.

This is the third year the ball has run and it is only getting bigger! While we seek support and sponsorship to help make this event afford and accessible we ask the community to consider giving a little to help make this event as fun and accessible as possible!

Anything you are able to give is really appreciated!!

The funding will contribute towards the costs of organising the Ball including promotional posters, venue hire, catering, sound equipment hire and decorations.
