Adam and Fraser are competing in the 2018 Whitehorse Challenge, biking, running and raising funds to support great charities!
Canterbury
The Whitehorse Challenge is a charity event run by the Waimate Rotary Club as part of the Veterinary Centre Whitehorse Big Easy event. One member of each team completes a 26km mountainbike, and the other an 18km run in the stunning hills around Waimate. The added challenge for the teams is to raise $500, with funds this year being dispersed to local and regional charities.
Fraser, the owner of Red Hot Real Estate was coaxed into entering after a challenge from his brother Greig, and if anyone has ever met a Moore then you know this could be a competitive battle on the bike leg. Fraser's claim to fame actually comes on two legs. As every single member of his family will be able to attest to (apparently he brings out the fact often), Fraser has held the Waimate High School 100m record since 1998. (Note that he has asked that this item not be fact checked in case he loses his bragging rights). Adam meanwhile takes on the running leg. Hailing from Ashburton we're not sure if he yet understands what the hills of Waimate will entail, but are sure that his 'nil' running experience will hold him in good stead. In his spare time Adam takes long romantic walks on the beach and makes arcade machines.
The Waimate Rotary Club runs the Whitehorse Challenge, with teams raising funds for local and regional charities, while testing their athletic skills!
Funds this year being dispersed to; Waimate Rotary Club, Whitehorse MTB Club, Land Search & Rescue NZ, KiwiSport, Centrecare Counselling Waimate, and the Waimate School of Music.
