Who Did You Help Today Trust (Homework Club) - Help From Home 3
Homework Clubs operate at low decile schools around Aotearoa to give children opportunities that may not otherwise be available to themNationwide
Homework Clubs are an easy way to increase community engagement in promoting the social, emotional and academic growth of children, opening doors to a brighter future for our kiwi kids.
The process of matching workplaces with schools is quite time-consuming and therefore we would direct funding to operational costs involved in overseeing the creation of these relationships as well as managing existing clubs around Aotearoa. In addition some funding would go towards providing resources (such as board games, books, art supplies to Homework Clubs as required). We regularly reach out to clubs to find out what resources could be useful to enhance the effectiveness of clubs, and as clubs grow in numbers we need to purchase more resources to ensure their success. Children at schools love having new stationery/ board games to use during their Homework Club sessions.
