Please support me to compete at the 2015 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships.
Auckland
Hi there, I am Wilrich Coetzee, a swimmer who has recently qualified to swim for the New Zealand Youth team at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships in Singapore from 25 to 30 August 2015. I have also been nominated to represent NZ at the 2015 Youth Commonwealth Games to be held in Samoa from 5 to 12 September and participation in this event is dependent on selection by the NZ Olympic Committee. Participation in these events is part of my journey towards my goal of competing at the Olympics.
I started swimming when I was 8 years old and over the past 10 years I have been a top swimmer in my age group in a number of events, especially the 100m and 200m Butterfly and the 200m and 400m Individual Medley events. During this time I broke a few of the Swimming New Zealand age group records. This includes the 200m Butterfly short-course record for 16 year old boys which was previously held by Danyon Loader. I train at the North Shore Swimming Club based in Auckland.
Budget: To be able to participate in the World Junior Championships and possibly the Youth Commonwealth Games I would like raise all the funds myself and to cover the costs for my flights, accommodation and team fees a budget of $10,000 is required.
Any support that you could provide to make this dream become reality would be appreciated. Thank you and I hope to make you proud!
I am a competitive swimmer who enjoys the sport and has reached many achievements in swimming. To represent New Zealand and wear the Silver Fern has been one of my goals and hope to repeat this in future!
