The Windflower Translations Project obtains funding for the professional translation of the writings of Baha'u'llah.

International

The purpose of the Windflower Translations Project is to obtain funding for the professional translation of the writings of Baha'u'llah. Baha'u'llah was the founder of the religion known as the Baha'i Faith. His writings have much to say about how individuals can find great happiness and how humanity can find abiding peace. Many of Baha'u'llah's works have been published in Persian and Arabic, but are not translated into English. The aim of the project is to bring these works to the English-speaking world.

The translator for the project is scholar, author and philosopher, Keven Brown (PhD Near Eastern languages (UCLA)). Keven has many years of experience translating the Baha'i writings and the writings of Muslim philosophers. For details on Keven's qualifications and experience, see http://meditationsonbahaullah.blogspot.co.nz/p/the-person-doing-translating-for.html

The translations produced through the project will be published online, at no cost, at Windflower Translations and the Baha'i Library Online. They can be used for personal devotions, to further general understanding of the writings of Baha’u’llah, as a basis for study and scholarship, and for further translation into other languages.

Donations to the Windflower Translations Project are, primarily, used to pay Keven for his translation services. A small sum may be used to pay for incidentals such as bank fees. Funds for the project go, through Givealittle, into a bank account dedicated to the project. If you want to donate using PayPal, cheque or cash, please email me at windflower.translations@gmail.com.

For details on the work that is currently being translated, Tablet on the Right of the People, see http://meditationsonbahaullah.blogspot.co.nz/2016/07/to-be-translated-tablet-on-right-of.html. Updates on progress will be sent to donors and the public via the Givealittle updates service. (Click on the Updates link at the top.)

The Windflower Translations Project is administered by Alison Marshall. It is an individual initiative, and is not affiliated to any institution of the Baha'i community.

More information about the project can be found at the project's website www.whoisbahaullah.com/windflower.
