The Woodhill Sands Trust has been formed by a group of people within equestrian sports to enable the riding community to secure ownership and control of Woodhill Sands.
Since its establishment 11 years ago, Woodhill Sands has become the most used regional competition and training facility for equestrian sports in New Zealand. It is the home of equestrian sports in Auckland, and its retention is vital to the well-being of the sports in Auckland and neighbouring regions.

I am involved because I am a Trustee of the Woodhill Sands Trust and have been instrumental in fundraising for this cause.
About us
The Woodhill Sands Trust has been formed by a group within equestrian sports to enable the riding community to secure ownership and control of Woodhill Sands.
In broad terms, the Trust’s purpose is to acquire and operate Woodhill Sands for the equestrian and wider communities of Auckland, providing a venue for competitive and recreational riding and training activities, and support to schools seeking to deliver equestrian activities. The Trust supports use of the venue by community groups for sports and recreation purposes.

ANOTHER MESSAGE FOR THE 30,000 PEOPLE WHO TAKE PART IN EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES IN AUCKLAND 31 October 2016
If you are one of those 30,000, we would love your support and donation. Whether you ride for sport or recreation, Woodhill Sands is a vital part of the facilities available to riders in Auckland.
A very big thank you to the 145 individuals who have already made a donation to our cause through GiveALittle. The total raised so far is $12,318.
We have also been generously supported by local Area Groups contributing a further $73,000. We are delighted to have these groups backing our campaign.
We are very close to 30% of our fundraising target of $300,000. A small contribution from every rider is all that it will take for us to reach our goal.
This is great progress. Thank you everyone who has contributed so far and to future donors!!...
