We love Shane Vaughan Bartlett.
We want to help him.
How do we do this? We can’t do it alone. We need your help.
Shane is an intrical part of our family and friends. He is of Maori heritage, a proud New Zealander.
This big gentle humble well loved man who would give the shirt off his back for you, would be gobsmacked that we the family would write his story for you to peruse with wishful thinking that you will take the time to help him. Te Karaka is a tiny community of 600 people who are rocked by what’s happened to Shane. For Shane was born there and his sheer love for this community has never left him. Over the last 15 years, Shane has endured so much. He is of a family of eight, and during this 15 year period he has lost 5 siblings to various health issues.
Shane is facing the same deadly dilemma. We don’t want to lose him too.
Shane is in ill health in Waikato Hospital New Zealand. He was diagnosed with diabetes resulting in daily kidney dialysis. His leg has now been amputated. He will remain in Waikato hospital indefinitely because of future complications. This condition has changed his and his family’s lifestyle to one of uncertainty. No planning, no security, no assurance. The expenses arising from his condition will be diabialocal. However a little help from you can ease the pain Shane and his family will no doubt endure. Please help him. This ask comes from the depths of his extended Te Karaka family. Shane is an ordinary humble humorous man with no fanfare, who has always honoured his wife, family, friends, colleagues and is community driven.
We implore your consideration to make a donation no matter how small.
