Update 18th August

Friends and Family of Mrs Hollie Hewitt, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The donations received are overwhelming and Hollies Family are filled with gratitude. These will be used to give our beautiful, kind and fearless Hollie the send off she deserves.

If you have any questions about this Saturday's farewell please get in touch.

Hollie had an aneurysm in her brain which ruptured and then, as she was recovering, she suffered a stroke. Since then has had a whirlwind of drama including 4 surgeries. Her recovery time is unknown but we do know it will be long.

Her husband Duncan is with her and we want him to stay with her every step of the way to recovery.

This page has been created by Hollie and Duncan’s friends to ask you for a small donation to help them all get by while Hollie gets better - we don't know how long that will be.

Duncan’s friends offered this to him, he humbly accepted and said if he doesn't use the funds he will donate them to the Rescue Helicopter Service in Otago who, without them, Hollie would not have made it to CHCH Hospital in time.

Every little counts. Thank you.

Update  23 August 2017

Hi All,

Hollie had a beautiful send off on Saturday and family thank you for attending or sending your love.

As this page will be used to pay for the costs involved for that day, a huge thank you to everyone who has donated. It is incredible to see how many of you there are however no surprise as we all know Hollie welcomed everyone with open arms and didn't hesitate to spark up a convo!

Duncan will donate any remaining funds to the Rescue Helicopter service.

Thank you.
