Young grandma of four grand-kids need your support!!!

My wife, Poonam, was admitted to hospital in July 2018. Finally, after a long wait the news was given to family in early November. It came to us with a big shock. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

She was initially on funded medication. Only after two months, it was found that medication wasn’t working on some cells. Those cells were getting aggressive and hence it was decided to start Chemo. During her third session, she had reaction to the medication and at the same time, results of the CT scan showed some cancer cells in the brain as well. Plans for Chemo had since been dropped as it hasn’t been able to shrink the cancer in lungs instead on the other hand it had spread to brain. Her oncologist advised her to start another medication called Osimertinib which is fortunately approved for use in New Zealand but is not funded. This medication costs about $11,000 per month and is what she is currently being treated with.

This has put financial burden on the family. With this in mind, we decided to open up and accept any offers of help.

All funds raised will be used in her treatment. Financial help from all the lovely supporters will be really appreciated.
