December 2012 Scorecard

Kiwis embraced the giving spirit with 2508 online donors playing Santa and donating $169,137.37 to 252 kiwi causes on Givealittle.co.nz. Total generosity was up 37% on November 2012.

The average donation was $67 and the largest single donation was $5,000 made to help the parents of 6 year old Lucy MacDonald fund her second cochlear implant.

The Bigger Gift Christmas campaign saw site traffic surge 166% percent on the previous month and the rolling grand total jumped to $2,712,956.40 raised on givealittle.co.nz.

The most donations this month went to:

1 - Rodney Gordon Trust by the Auckland Grammar community
2 - Help Caitlin & Brooke by Mercedes Nadas
3 - Lend a Hand for our beautiful Jeremy by Emma Dodds

There were over 54 charity champions in December.  Two Telecom employees made it on to Santa’s “nice” list - Peter the Christmas Elf who sang Christmas Carols in Telecom Place for special school and Ben Richmond who was gearing up to swim a big distance for Water Safety over the Summer break.
