Cause pages

A Cause page on Givealittle is a tool that can be used for a huge variety of fundraising purposes. In a nutshell, if you're trying to meet a need, or if you're fundraising for a special project, a Cause page is the right page type for you. When creating your page, this is the "every dollar counts" option.

Scenarios

  • Collect support for a friend or family member in need
  • Help cover the costs of studying abroad
  • Fundraise for pricey medical treatment

Features of a Cause page

  • This kind of page has to have an end date
  • You can choose to set a goal or not (goals are pretty motivational for donors
  • The total amount donated will show on the page
  • The end-date and the goal can be changed - even if you don't reach your target, the donations will still be paid out to you (e.g. every dollar counts!).
  • Your supporters can donate directly, and/or make their own fundraiser page on behalf by clicking “Fundraise”. Example: “If Michaela decides to do 25 push-ups a day to support your cause, she sets up a Fundraiser page paying to your Cause page and all the donations to her page tally up directly on the Cause page total.
