Start your training now and get your friends and whanau to join in or sponsor you to summit three of Auckland’s volcanic cones. This epic walk is around 16km and should take up to five hours. This gives us time to enjoy the views, take well earned rests and learn about each maunga.

The good news is you can walk as little distance or as far as you like. After you register we'll provide you with a map and street instructions, with anticipated arrival times at each maunga. If you plan to walk part of the distance, please let the organisers know. We’ll give you their phone numbers along with the other pre-walk information.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and yes you can bring your four-legged friend but as long as they're well trained and kept on a leash.

We'll start at the Buddhist Centre in Normandy Rd at 8am, walking up Maungawhau, Mt Eden then across to Maungakiekie, One Tree Hill. This is a section on the Auckland Coast to Coast walk. Then we’ll walk to Ohinerau, Mt Hobson and back to the Buddhist Centre.

So save the date March 8th, leaving from the Auckland Buddhist Centre in Normanby Road at 8am. (We have 9th as a rain day) $40 for adults and $10 for kids.
