Bryce rides around Lake Taupo for MS

$1,542 raised
5 Dec 2020

I'm riding around Lake Taupo to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis and give back to the Mastering Mountains Charitable Trust.

Bay of Plenty

Mastering Mountains and Multiple Sclerosis NZ are passionate about helping people with Multiple Sclerosis and Functional Neurological Disorder get outdoors. As a 2019 recipient of the grant, I planned to do the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge event, which due to Covid-19 was unfortunately cancelled. In order to still achieve my goal, and raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis, I will be riding around the Lake with a small group of friends and family on the 5th of December 2020.

The money I (and my riding support crew) raise will be donated to the Mastering Mountains Charitable Trust. The money will be used to help people like me, who have Multiple Sclerosis, and those with Functional Neurological Disorder to set a goal, overcome specific barriers that prevent them from getting outdoors, and achieve their goal. Mastering Mountains grants have a huge impact on the lives of people with Multiple Sclerosis, and I am excited to give back to the cause.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
