Tamariki and rangatahi in the Far North face many obstacles so we are inviting people from across the region to Drop for Youth!
Northland
Our young people face many challenges in this ever-changing world and we want to help prepare them to overcome any obstacles they might face while also empowering them to make the most of their futures. In order to give our tamariki and rangatahi the best chance in life that we can, we are asking the local Northland community to take a leap of faith for us... 12,000 feet into the air!
Every dollar raised from this event will be spent on our delivering our valuable life skills and work readiness programmes, Kiwi Can and Career Navigator Nga Ara Whetu to over 1200 young people aged 5 to 18 years in our most vulnerable communities. Our proven programmes are sequenced to create a positive vehicle for change for young people . This is what we call the 'Transformational Journey' – a journey that helps our young people become more confident and resilient, find purpose and direction to achieve success.
We have partnered with Skydive Bay of Islands to offer this adrenaline filled fundraiser. You'll get to experience the thrill of a lifetime jumping out of a plane at 12,000ft while soaking up the scenery of all 144 islands that make up the Bay of Islands. The view is guaranteed to take your breath away! You’ll also get to help tamariki and rangatahi in the Far North at the same time as ticking skydiving off your bucket list. And, if skydiving is just not for you, you could also gift your skydive for a young person to have this epic experience!
