Running 450km between us, with 14 25km relay legs and 2 50km ultramarathons, all in support of the life-changing work of First Foundation
Waikato
The Fisher Funds team are tackling the mighty Taupō Ultramarathon to raise funds for First Foundation. First Foundation help unleash the potential of super smart young people in low socio-economic areas to support them in Year 13 and through a degree.
The work that First Foundation does is so important because it helps level the playing field for talented young New Zealanders whose potential might otherwise be limited by their circumstances. Through a unique combination of financial support, mentoring, and meaningful work experience, First Foundation gives bright students the opportunity to attend university, build professional networks, and develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed in their careers. Importantly, the impact extends far beyond the individual scholar. Many students are the first in their family to attend university, and their success often creates lasting benefits for their whānau and communities, inspiring future generations and opening doors that may never have seemed possible. By investing in young people with talent and ambition, First Foundation is helping to create a more equitable, skilled, and prosperous New Zealand.
