Walk1200km is a unique challenge that we hope as many Kiwis as possible will take up. Put simply, for the next 12 months, and beyond, the goal is for you to walk far as you can – whether that be 500km, 1200km or even more while raising funds for ovarian cancer.

About ovarian cancer:

Ovarian Cancer includes cancer of the ovaries, fallopian tubes and peritoneum. It can affect any female of any age and is New Zealand's fifth most common cause of female cancer death. 300 women are diagnosed every year - with about 1200 living with ovarian cancer nationwide. There is no screening test, but it can be found earlier - if women are aware of the symptoms and get tested quickly. Education, better treatments and research are crucial to improve survival.
