4000km's for Mental Health

With a fair amount of running and cycling lined up for the year I decided to commit to a little something something extra..

The challenge:

1000km in the running shoes

3000km on the bike saddle (RIP butt..)

All going well... For every kilometre I run or cycle this year I will be donating 25c to the Mental Health Foundation, $1000 in total. An organisation doing amazing work for the people of New Zealand promoting what we know makes and keeps people mentally well. A cause close to my heart and something I wish to give back to.

I am also hoping that my wider community can partner with me to help contribute in some shape or form whatever that may look like. I have come up with a few ideas to get the ball rolling:

#1. (My favourite) Chuck on those sports shoes, get out the door and go for an adventure yourself. Regardless of whether it is 200m, 2km, 20km or 200km it will do wonders for your own mental health.

#2. Commit to a challenge of our own and give in whatever way you feel appropriate. It may be the completion of your first 5km running race and giving your hard earned flat white money = $5.

#3. Outright donate. Following on from that, giving number #1 a crack.

#4. Share this give a little page with friends and family to help raise awareness.
