To combat the Covid-19 crisis in India, I will do a sponsored skydive for UNICEF!
International
There have been over twenty million cases of Covid-19 in India, with over 226000 deaths so far. That is the entire population of Wellington! The infrastructure of India cannot handle this kind of crisis.
UNICEF is working to produce install Oxygen Generation Plants in hospitals, provide testing machines, support essential workers and distribute vaccines across the most vulnerable communities in India.
To do this, UNICEF needs every cent we can give. With thanks to Skydive Auckland I have arranged a sponsored skydive! If we can raise $1000 I will jump from a plane (by the way - I am terrified of heights!). I hope you can support me for this initiative! Every cent counts, and will go to funding critical supports for the people of India!
I want to support the people of India, and from the far away lands of Aotearoa/New Zealand, this is the best way to send our aroha and support.
A tryst with destiny!(Video) 16 January 2022
Kia ora everyone,
Long ago I made a tryst with destiny, and the time has come where I redeem my pledge! Yesterday, I completed my promise to you that if we raised one thousand dollars (fifty thousand Indian Rupees) for UNICEF then I would jump out of a perfectly good plane!
Yesterday, I jumped from a plane, 13000 feet in the air (4 kilometres from the ground) free falling for approximately 45 seconds at a speed of 200 kilometres an hour until I returned to the ground safe and beaming with pride for what we were able to do. I will never forget how generous each and every one of you were. Together we have done something wonderful for the people of India.
