    Greetings!

I ran the marathon and completed it, and was awarded the marathon medal and a seven continents finisher medal.

Had a fantastic trip: calm seas, great race conditions and wonderful wildlife encounters.

Many thanks again to all who have donated.

Congratulations to my colleague Velvet on winning the draw for a free massage with the amazing Auckland Therapeutic Massage. Velvet is currently overseas on secondment, but has shared a photo of her reading the email from me to tell her of her win. Carmen from Auckland Therapeutic Massage has helped me to stay injury free for the past few years, with regular sports massage.

Many people have asked what I'll be wearing to combat the cold? Lots of merino layers, waterproof outer and great shoes from Icebug with carbon tips that have been specially imported from Sweden (thanks to Tim at Icebug NZ).

Also a very special thanks to my generous and supportive colleagues at Staples Rodway, my contacts and clients, who have all contributed to this fundraiser and encouraged me on my journey. Thank you all!

    Kind regards

    Tracy

  • Training at -18.8 degrees!

The lovely folks at Dad's Pies kindly let me test my gear for Antarctica in their freezer, at a chilly -18.8 degrees!

Half an hour of running around the shelves was plenty to establish that a) we needed warmer gear and b) it felt a little crazy to be wearing a balaclava when it was a hot and sunny Auckland day outside. That's me on the left, my running mate Jo on the right.

Many thanks to those of you who have donated so far, much appreciated xx
