To fundraise for the nonprofit organisation that kept our baby safe.
Wellington
Our baby Mātātoa was born on the 19th of December 2019, at 1.03 pm, weighing 1.13kg's, at 26 weeks gestation.
Through every trial and tribulation he faced, the load on both him and us was eased by the support of not only our whānau, friends, and newfound friends, but, the Waikato NICU Unit, his nurses, his Dr's, and The Neonatal Trust. The Neonatal Trust does not receive any Government funding and is entirely reliant on the generousity of individuals, companies, and organisations in the form of donations
Every year approximately 10% of all babies are born premature (before 37 weeks gestation) in New Zealand. That’s one premature baby born every 90 minutes. There are also full-term babies whose condition or illness requires admission to a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) after they are born. In all, over 5,000 babies have a difficult to start life in New Zealand each year.
The Neonatal Trust exists to support families through moments of stress and anxiety. You can find more information about how here: https://www.neonataltrust.org.nz/about-us/support-we-provide
My goal every year is to find a new way to contribute something to this organisation. Small tokens to continuously express my gratitude. This year I hope you will join me by contributing to this online wishing well for a good cause.
As many of you will know, our son was premature & was kept Earthside with us thanks to the support of The Neonatal Trust, Waikato NICU, his Nurses and his Dr's
T.N.T are not government funded so for my birthday I am asking you to help me give back.
