The Tūī Quartet returns for their annual fundraising concert to raise awareness and funds for people living with autism in New Zealand.

Otago

The Tui Quartet proudly presents to you our annual fundraising concert: ART FOR AUTISM. This year, we are honored to be raising awareness and funds for people living with autism in New Zealand. All proceeds from koha and purchase of artwork will go towards Otago Children's Autism Support Group and Autism New Zealand.

Autism New Zealand is a non-profit organization based in Aotearoa that provides services and support for people on the Autism spectrum, as well as their carers. They provide training courses for all types of participants, such as business and school employees, family members, and professionals, so that our whanau with ASD can be better supported in their environment.

Otago Children's Autism Support Group is a community-led organization based in Dunedin which supports caregivers with organizing and fundraising for interventions which facilitate and promote life skills and management in children with ASD. These interventions, however, are privately-funded, and as a result, have been financially strenuous on families of affected children.

Both organizations rely on charitable donations and fundraising efforts to maintain the services that they provide. Our fundraising concert/art auction will be donating half of our proceeds to Autism New Zealand, the other half going to Otago Children's Autism Support Group.

We truly believe that we can build a society that would be supportive of people from all backgrounds and abilities. Currently, so much of the emphasis lies on trying to make people fit to the environment, but instead, we should be trying to make the environment fit our people. Join us in raising awareness, and changing the world for the better!
