Bayleys Plate up for a Purpose - Diana Patchett
Let's make a difference for children throughout Canterbury and get them back to school with the City Mission.Canterbury
Name: Diana “Principal Ingredients” Patchett - Executive Principal, St Margaret’s College
What is your cooking experience?
Raising four active sons required plenty of cooking and, regardless of the quality, there were rarely any leftovers!
What would your cooking signature dish be?
Definitely pancakes; they can be served for any meal, but are still a favourite on Saturday mornings.
Why are you cooking to help disadvantaged Canterbury children get a fair start in education?
My life's ambition is to empower young people to realise their potential. Heading back to school and feeling confident is something every child should experience, so I am delighted to help make that happen for as many children as possible.
What does being part of Bayleys Plate Up for a Purpose mean to you and your organisation?
I am proud to support the fabulous work of the Christchurch City Mission in setting young people up for success in their school life. The St Margaret’s College community shares this aspiration and our students, staff, and parents are committed to empowering all young people to live and lead, so I am confident that we will rally to help Bayleys Plate Up for Purpose to reach its goals.
