Birthright Kapiti

Birthright Kapiti provides programmes and services that improve the well-being of families parenting on their own. Birthright encourages families to develop their own strengths, be independent, set realistic goals and plan their own futures. We work alongside families offering;

Adults - Advocacy work, Parenting Courses, Self-esteem course, Practical Assistance, Budget advice.

Children - School holiday programmes, Camps, Family activities especially at Christmas.

Preloved Shop: We sell donated goods to help us run our services. The shop is manned by volunteers which in itself provides a service to those in our community.

That is over 33% of all families with dependent children

Many of our children in single parent families live in poverty

Many of those children lack the opportunities

to break the cycle.
