Boycott Ball to help out Auckland City Mission!

As senior high school students, we agree that high school ball nights are an amazing time that we will all remember for the rest of our lives. However, we believe that they can be even more memorable by using them for good.

The hundreds of thousands of dollars spent by high schoolers on their school balls every year is ridiculous, especially with the many people out there who actually NEED this money that we haul out for one night. Although we are lucky enough to be able to attend these very fancy events, many people in our communities do not even have enough money to buy food or housing for their families.

So we have decided to make a change!

We are encouraging students all over New Zealand to choose one or many things that they can forgo on their ball night. Whether you borrow a dress or suit instead of buying one, choose to do your own makeup and hair, or even if you merely decide to not get the fake tan and nails. We want you to give up something small, and use the money that you save to give to a wonderful cause.

Giving up something so small can truly make a huge difference. Donate to this page to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are not as fortunate as us. Lets get together as youth and spread our love to others.
