Hey donors!
Unfortunately, Cancer, a word we all know well, is the second most common cause of death, after traffic accidents for children aged 1-14 year-olds. Treatment most often requires intensive treatments conducted over extended periods causing considerable stress on the child and their whanau. While we can't help with all stress, we can at least help alleviate any financial stress. Many child cancer survivors will experience long-term adverse health effects as a result of their cancer and treatments. We hope our fundraising will help to improve the quality of life of tamariki and their whānau while fighting Cancer and its effects by giving financial assistance towards support and further treatments.
Thomas, Will, and Olly are three 17-year-olds from Tauranga hoping to make a difference in their community while embarking on an ambitious challenge across New Zealand. They plan on being the first to travel a multi-sport route from the East Cape to Cape Egmont, a distance of over 800km. The boys hope to complete the trip in around 3 weeks all while raising funds for young cancer patients.
$2000 reached! 11 September 2024
Hey everyone,
Thank you so much for your insane generosity so far. We have reached an awesome $2000! It might not be much compared to our goal but every single cent counts.
We have just ticked over 9 months of preparation. Thomas, Will, and I have been ramping up the training and skill-building over the last few weeks. We just returned from a big weekend out where we spent 29hrs on foot knocking off a whopping 87km in the Whirinaki Forest.
Thanks team!
