Charity 500km E-scooter ride!

I want to raise funds and awareness for ANZMES and Prof. Warren Tate's research into CF/ME at the Otago University by embarking in Feb/March on a 500km e-scooter ride from Ashburton to Dunedin via Tekapo. If you think you can spare a gold coin we would really appreciate your contribution.

Having suffered with CF/ME since the Chch earthquakes I am fully aware of the fatigue, pain and lack of understanding. In recent years I've struggled to walk more than 5 to 10 mins without paying for it, so the e-scooter has given me a great freedom that I haven't had for many years (having been once a fit mountain biker).

The trip itself will be a huge endurance test for me and no doubt with much pain. I have been so far privileged to have a number of companies come forward and sponsor some of the equipment needed for the trip namely the auxiliary battery (FreedPev e-scooters Auckland) steering damper (Falconpev - makers of the scooter in Singapore) lights and other accessories (eScoozzi ANZ - Auckland) Jeff Marshall Susuki - Ashburton for wiring up and assistance setting the scooter up for the trip) Lakehood Pilates for trying to build some stamina for standing on the scooter for up to 4 hrs a day.
