Raising awareness for mental health and suicide in Aotearoa
Bay of Plenty
The journey of a few, adventure racing and competing around New Zealand and the Globe, in a crusade to raise funds and awareness for mental health and suicide in Aotearoa.
Through the means of extreme health and exercise, we strive to be the catalyst of a national movement that destigmatizes mental health and suicide and begins the conversation that "it is OK to ask for help", "he pai ki te paitai". Our aim is to create generational change within our tangata and whenua, and heal the deep seeded ancestral trauma mental health and suicide has had over ourselves and our people.
We have set a goal to compete in a multitude of races and events around New Zealand and the World (click links for specific details); these consists of numerous marathons, triathlons, multisport events and our Tip2Toe cycle of New Zealand. We are pushing our bodies to the brink in order to break stigmas, raise awareness and conquer mental health in suicide in our beautiful nation.
We are aiming to raise $100,000 that will be donated to The Key To Life Charitable Trust; funds desperately needed to combat mental health and suicide head on for our people.
The power is in the people, and you have the ability to help. For us to attain the national movement of mental health and suicide awareness WE NEED YOU! Competitors, representatives, fundraisers, sponsors and donators welcome!
We have set a target of achieving $100,000.00 In donations for the Key to life Charitable Trust to further their endeavours; 100% of donations will be used by them for front line services of mental health and suicide preventions, programs and help.
