Please help me to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. I will have my head shaved completely on the 9th of November 2018.

This year has been a year when two of my friends have lost their battle with cancer. Both were in their prime, they have left huge holes in people's lives.

Feeling very useless and helpless myself, I figured I can do one thing to help. I am going to shave off my hair on the 9th of November, the date that would have been Keith Crawford's 50th birthday. He died after a 14 year battle with brain cancer and will always remain an inspiration to me and many others.

"Hair and nails are dead tissue" is what I have always said. What I think we need to do is focus on "live tissue", our own bodies, our health. Through shedding my long locks, and hopefully donate them to make a beautiful wig, I would like to raise awareness and funds for the Gillies McIndoe Research Institute.
