Dig deep for our brothers and sisters living in terror. Junglists against violence and war, give a little for the people of Syria.

Wellington

"...a lot of people won't get no supper tonight, a lot of people are going to struggle tonight, cos the battle is getting hotter..." - Willie Williams.

Via our tv set & our various news sources we have watched a war reign terror on the people of Syria. We have read stories of an entire nation of people struggling for survival, some leaving their homeland in pure fear for their lives & the lives of their families, some staying behind because they cannot or do not want to leave their homes.

While we sit in the peace & comfort of our home we have shed tears for these folks, and wished we could help.

Somehow, we can imagine the hardships, but we don't have to live the reality of it. We are the lucky ones, for now.

GIVEALITTLE gives us a channel to be able to help. We want to raise money to give to the wonderful people at World Vision who can & are doing something real to help in a time of need.

We have been throwing Drum & Bass parties for many years, starting in the UK and now here in Aotearoa. We had a vision of our own, to align what we love to do with a higher cause.

On September 9, the launch party for Drop Beats Not Bombs NZ will be hosted by the good folk at San Fran, Cuba St, Wellington.

We have reached out to World Vision NZ, for a way to get the money raised directly to a project on the ground in Syria. This GIVEALITTLE campaign is a chance for our Junglist family across Aotearoa, who cannot get to the gig, to show their support. The campaign closes Monday after the gig, with the money raised at the gig to be channeled to this fund and onwards to our friends at World Vision NZ.
