Jed Butler - Drop Your Boss 2021

$660 of $1,000 goal

I'm skydiving to raise funds so no child is left behind. Help kids get the chance in life they all deserve by donating to support them.

Bay of Plenty

I am very much the opposite of an adrenaline junkie, a homebody if you will. In a group of friends all going bungy jumping, I will quite gladly be the one who holds everyone’s phones and jackets while they take the plunge.

I have been challenged more and more as of late, to step out of my comfort zone. And so, in the spirit of taking that step, while being able to raise money (hopefully more than my boss) for the awesome work that the Graeme Dingle Foundation do in the Bay, I said, “Sure, why not plummet towards the earth while being spooned by a stranger?”.

In all seriousness, I really want to be a good role model for my two boys, who I hope to share this story with when they’re older, so that they know they can do some really awesome things if they aren’t a chicken like their dad. And on top of that, if I can raise +$1000, EastPack will match the total donations dollar for dollar!

At the Graeme Dingle Foundation they believe "what you have on the inside is greater than any obstacle you may face" (even if that obstacle is a 12,000ft drop from a plane!). It's in the spirit of that ethos that I am making that leap to help raise money towards the incredible work the foundation does here in our own community.

The Graeme Dingle Foundation runs Project K, Kiwi Can, Career Navigator and Stars; reaching over 3,700 young people in the Western Bay of Plenty. These are all proven and successful school-based programmes that aim to inspire young people to reach their full potential by helping to build their self-esteem, promote good values and teach valuable life, education and health skills.

They are an amazing organisation, offering our young people some awesome opportunities to become the best version of themselves. EastPack has been on board with the foundation providing support and funds for years, helping them continue their amazing mahi. We can see the positive impact their programmes have within the communities we are based in and are proud to be a part of their kaupapa.

I know not all young people are given equal support and opportunity, and by jumping for Graeme Dingle Foundation I am contributing towards helping every child to reach their full potential and empowering them to create the future they want.

I would love to get as much money as I can to enable GDF to continue their mahi in our community. Please jump on board to support me jumping off board!
