Hi all, as you know I took on the 22 Push-Ups for 22 days challenge. This is in support of those who have fallen or suffer from PTSD.
Otago
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychological reaction to experiencing or witnessing a significantly stressful, traumatic or shocking event.
Any situation where there was a risk of being killed or injured, seeing others killed or injured, or sometimes even hearing about such things, can result in PTSD. Some events are more likely than others to cause PTSD.
Let us come together and raise some funds for our fallen heroes or anyone that we know that suffers from PTSD or any other stress disorder. Let us show them that they are not alone in this and that they have the support of all the people around them. We might never know what it is like to live with PTSD on a daily basis, so lets show our support.
I'm getting involved by doing 22 Push-Ups for 22 days. I may not be strong and fit at the start, but with determination and support I can make it to the end and finish off stronger than what I started.
By giving someone support gives them the strength and determination to battle PTSD and finish off stronger in the end.
I have chosen The New Zealand Fallen Heroes Trust to support in this fundraiser. We never know what the lasting affects are after serving for our country, so let us show our support by donating to this trust. A little can go a far way.
