When I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2009 I was told I would never scuba dive again. The ocean was a hugely important part of my life and scuba diving a favourite activity, so to hear that I would never dive again was devastating.
Undertaking this challenge is a huge step forward in reclaiming my life, raising awareness of young adult cancer and it's long term effects, and encouraging others to out there and live their dreams.
The Whole Lotta Life Foundation provides community and support for young New Zealanders that have been affected by cancer.
When I was diagnosed with cancer at 26 nothing like this existed and I felt very isolated. The work that the Whole Lotta Life Foundation is so important for breaking down the barriers of isolation and addressing the unique psychosocial needs of the young adult cancer community.
