Hi everyone. First off, thanks for spending some time looking at this page.

Friends and family will tell you that three years ago, I would not have had the ability nor the fortitude to run 5km, let alone a half marathon. They would also tell you if there was one thing that I'm passionate about in this world, its about bringing equality and justicr to those who have no access to it.

I had initially wanted to raise funds by running a half marathon in dedication to my favourite charity, charity:water. The thought of running in a straight line for 2 hours couldn't be more physically torturous, but sometimes, life is about doing things you have no desire doing to learn things about yourself you'd never thought.

I'm aiming to do this within 2 hours or below. Happy to take prop bets within the event (i.e. particular amounts donated will mean certain events I'll have to perform during the half marathon, like running backwards or any other clever ideas you might have within reason).

In light of the events of the last 2 days in Christchurch and being away from home for 2.5 months or so now, I want to dedicate all efforts and funds raised in honour of those who passed in Christchurch and their families. The world could do with a bit more loving.

Thanks in advance for your contributions to the cause. It is nice to know regardless of race, language or religion, we can unite in love for people who need nothing more than our love and support right now.

And finally, remember God's promise in Revelations 21:4 - "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Thanks again for your time and support.
