Poverty, rising sea levels and climate change threaten many pacific islands. EWBNZ supplies the aid sector with engineering assistance.
Wellington
I've been involved with Engineers Without Borders New Zealand for a few years now, and each conference I go to or each project I hear about I am further convinced that the organisation has great potential to make a real difference in the south pacific. Here in Wellington we are putting on a speaker series to drive the conversation around key issues.
A lot of our pacific neighbors lack basic infrastructure required to maintain a good quality of life. Rising sea levels and climate change are gradually rendering them uninhabitable, causing mass migration.
EWBNZ partners with existing organisations to provide engineering expertise where required to help meet these challenges.
Any support you can offer this cause would be greatly appreciated, as a registered charity this is how we raise funds.
Last year I ran the 10k in 90 minutes or so, so I will be looking to beat that this year.
The South Pacific is littered with well intended aid projects that weren't executed well. EWBNZ has a strong development philosophy that emphasizes partnering with experienced local agencies, with local knowledge, to have a targeted positive impact on our developing neighbors.
RUNNING WITHOUT BORDERS IS BACK! And this year we’re taking on Round the Bays in Wellington on the 17th February 2019.
