Help kick Prostate Cancer in the butt!

I have a very good friend, Rob, who has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Rob has just turned 50. He had no symptoms, and the cancer is also now in his rib. Rob is maintaining an incredibly positive attitude and is currently going through treatment.

While he is undergoing chemo, Rob has decided to stop drinking alcohol to maximize the effectiveness of the treatment. I have decided to "go out in sympathy" with him, and knock off the grog also during his chemo.

Those that know me know that I like a drink or two. So going off the booze over summer wasn't top of my list a few months ago. However, I'm hoping to use this gesture to support Rob, but also hopefully to raise some funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. The Prostate Cancer Foundation's goals are to raise awareness of prostate cancer and the importance of early detection, to support men with prostate cancer, and to commit funds to NZ based research on finding better diagnosis and treatment options for prostate cancer.
